First baseman Mike Sweeney rocketed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at the ballpark
where the California Gangsta Luv beat the Jefferson Park Penguins by the
score of 10 to 4.
Sweeney enjoyed a big day at the plate. He smashed a two-run homer in the 2nd
inning, ripped a base-knock in the 3rd inning, cleared the fences for a
two-run home run (his 13th of the season) in the 5th inning and doubled in
the 7th inning. California out-hit Jefferson Park for the game, 12 hits to
7.
The win went to Freddy Garcia(8-3) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings. Bronson
Arroyo(5-6) was tagged with the loss. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings allowing
6 hits and no walks.
